some holiday

Beach hopping

Still recovering of various stages of coughs and colds and trying to boost the system, I must say the beach is my favorite and most effective destination and I have seen quite some during the last week. Apart from being far away and blowy, Scotland is a dream and I love returning, especially now as my friends settled down up there. The kids run free and equipped with beach tools they build and throw and sleep and I love watching their faces.


I always take way too much to do on my holiday and I return slightly disappointed but that lasts only for a minute. I am working at the moment on a new way of assembling and therefor a different experience of seams and I managed to finish a tank top just in time to take on holiday and to test in blowy terrain and another long sleeve top had a chance to see the light after some scottish nights! I am not sure yet where to go with this but it feels good and is even lighter and more comfortable! 

We are back now, confused with beauty and fresh air 
and ready for a new season. . .

woolly warm

Fed up with cold!

I must admit I reached the edge of acceptance. I am too cold for too long. My winter wardrobe is actually quite good with some experience of gale attacked islands but at this point of the season my tolerance is very low and I am seriously fed up and permanently dreaming of warm.

Anyway thinking and dreaming did not warm at all so I just made IT and all for myself!!!

The design is the favorite Hand stitched Yoga Tank Top and it is made of some greyish bluey woolly material.

I started it yesterday out of deep freezing frustration and finished it this afternoon and have been warm since, very warm.

Now I am thinking of a long sleeve extension to complete it . . .

This time the seam is on the back and in pinkish red.

The material is a soft knit, so cosy and still so delicate.

Minimal art in Harmony - a new Hand stitched Tank Top is taking shape - Yoga, Dancing, All rounder

In the process of designing a new garment I often feel like drawing circles in one place and all of a sudden it is clear: a new garment takes shape. This one continues to be part of the Harmony collection but I think it might move to the classic edition. 

I happen to have a favorite tank top for ages basically until it falls apart. So it was really time to start creating one myself - one that is easy, soft, comfy, cool, feminine, hardly to feel, to wear as a base layer, but also as only layer. . . 

Very important for this Hand stitched Tank Top is the choice of material. It needs to have a nice stretch, should be very light but not too fragile, and the seams should still feel as if they weren't there at all. Ideal to wear for Yoga, Dancing or just casual wherever you go . . . This is enough said for now, have to go. To be continued ......
